Bio

I have received awards from Salem International Literary Awards, Crab Orchard Review, Munster Literature Centre, CutThroat: A Journal of the Arts, and Good Housekeeping. I have received fellowship and residency support from Millay Colony, Playa, Writing by Writers, and The Lighthouse Fort Lyon Writer-in-Residence Program. My work has appeared in Atlanta Review, Crab Orchard Review, CutThroat: A Journal of the Arts, New Poets of the American West, Orbis Quarterly, Poetry East, South Dakota Review, Southword, Underground Voices, Word Riot, and others. I have taught writing in the schools and at a halfway house for teens at risk. I hold an MFA from Naropa University and am past fiction editor for Bombay Gin, Naropa’s literary magazine. I have lived in the Rocky Mountain West, herding cattle and training horses, and in Spain, teaching English as a second language, and have traveled in South America, India, Nepal, Japan, and Europe. I now live in Colorado.
